Fay Stumm (Secretary of Jumping Ant Arts Inc.)

Fay has always had a keen interest in the arts and has earned a reputation as a perfectionist in a wide range of mediums.   Fay has taken every opportunity to develop her natural skills by undertaking workshops with a number of renowned ceramicists, including Bob Connery, now deceased, of Stokers Siding.  Each of these artists has had particular influence on various aspects of her art. 

 

Fay finds all forms of ceramic art intriguing and particularly enjoys wheel throwing, hand building and sculpting and is fascinated by glazes.  The desire to create is a passion that comes from within.  It is inspired by many things, that which we see around us, the way we live, life itself.  When inspiration comes Fay is totally absorbed and mindless of time and place.  Her goal is to continue to create beautiful art to be admired by others and to be the best she possibly can.
