I am a Textile Artist who has been making rugs for 30 years. And grew up helping my mother with hers.

I come from many generations of English Rugmakers, making predominantly Hooked rugs but I also make Proggy and knitted rugs/ wallhangings.  Previously it was a utilitarian craft, now it has become an artform.

 

I'm diversifying more and more these days into mixed media.  I do like to Recycle, Remake , Re-use.

As I was brought up by the make-do and mend generation, and think its important to use what we have at hand to stretch my Creativity, though the use of Preloved objects, to make  something new.
